Square3 – Signed & notarized

This is not a “real” update, but, I managed to unpack the old release to sign, notarize and re-pack again. Now you can enjoy Square3 in Logic until there’s an update coming. Enjoy!

Square3 is an exceptional Equalizer/saturator that doesn’t behave like anything else. With Square3 you can dial in exactly the right amount of saturation and distortion to add life and perceived loudness similar to how you’d operate an equalizer but with the exception that the peaks won’t change more than a fraction compared to a normal equalizer. You can even place it post your limiter and still add 1-3dB of gain if you find that that is where it sounds the best.

Changelog 3.00:

• I automated the threshold function. Play the loudest part of the audio and hit “Lock”, done.

• Remade the saturation algorithm, warmer and more natural sounding.

• Added three different modes of how the saturation is applied. Everything distorts, just the peaks, or the part in between the peaks. You find the modes below the saturation control.

• Added the compare section, it’s now based on LUFS. Toggle between a loudness-matched processed and dry-signal to quickly find out if your tweaks are beneficial or not.
