PHEQ Noisebud, 2024, April 242025, May 27 PHEQ is a two-band linear phase shelf-equalizer that is both simple and powerful. It introduces almost no pre-ringing and is designed to quickly balance the low and high-end relationship during mixing or mastering. It is advantageous in situations where you need to maintain phase integrity. It’s based on the filter used in my plugin PHIFT. The filter was created to be as transparent as possible and in PHEQ I take it a step further to see if it could be implemented in an EQ. This version will be free for everyone, I’m planning a version with some M/S trickery in the future. Enjoy! Blog
