Hey Patrons!
It’s finally here!
For v1, I focused on making all the different parts work well together. In the alpha builds, I had lots of almost stand-alone modules that did their thing before passing on the signal to the next process in the chain. In this release, you’ll see all parts working together to get to the goal, a massive low-end that still works.
I put some extra effort into attending the internal gain staging, which made the plugin work better at different levels. I now prefer working with Shape2 Advanced earlier in the chain, but there are still occasions when I go full throttle and even put it behind the limiter. Put it where it does good!
Now, go and shape that low-end!
____
What is Shape2 Advanced?
Shape2 Advanced is an extreme low-end shaper/compressor that gives you 100% control of the lowest part of the spectrum. It’s based around a waveshaper that reshapes your low-end to use all available headroom without causing issues, maximizing your bass without affecting the upper frequencies.
The first stage in Shape2 Advanced mirrors the Shape2 module in SubBB, running the low-end through a waveshaper for a compressed effect. Next, an algorithm removes any distortion created. Up to this point, it’s similar to SubBB. But Shape2 Advanced takes it further: you can reintroduce some of the original envelope to the processed signal with the Envelope controls, set the allowed max peaks with the “Low Peaks” control, add a burst of sub noise at he transients for a greater impact, and blend in a synthesized first harmonic to the signal.
Complete walkthrough:
There will be a new full walkthrough using v1 as soon as I can find the time; Meanwhile, you can watch a walkthrough made using Alpha 005. Some things have changed since then, but it’s close enough.

I’m still holding back with AU builds, there’s just VST3 for now.
