Cozy Den – v1.41

Yo!
My instant warmth and life plugin Cozy-Den, has been updated to v1.41. This is a minor update that changes how you set the sidechain frequency for the two bands. It used to be set with a vertical mouse movement, even though its layout suggests it would be set horizontally. That has changed, and you set it horizontally as you’d expect.

Changelog v1.41:

  • The frequency selector is now set horizontally, and you can click the frequency and write your frequency as well

What is this thing?
For one, it has been my secret mastering weapon for the past months; except for that, it is a two-band dynamic processor that aims to help you make dead-sounding mixes sound lively, warm, and dynamic while mixing or mastering. Even a good mix will benefit.

For me, Cozy Den adds that magic sauce that compressors are usually used for in the analog domain. I’m not talking about the glue or controlling the dynamics, you should still let a compressor do that part. I’m talking about the magic openness that analog compressors bring, which seems hard to dial in ITB. Instead of spending an hour tweaking the knobs of the best compressor plugins there is, load up Cozy Den post-compression or right before your limiter and make some quick tweaks. Boom, everything opens up.

Cozy Den is based on the dynamic engine that I started to develop when working with the test plugin Signal Path 4 (https://www.patreon.com/posts/97899472). Signal Path 4 was affecting the whole spectrum. In Cozy Den, it has been divided into two bands. In contrast to Signal Path 4, Cozy Den will only boost the bands; at the other end, there’s a LUFS-based gain compensation algorithm, so the resulting signal may end up with either higher or lower peaks depending on the material and your settings, but at the same LUFS as the original.

Ways to get Noisebud plugins:

Become a Patron – $6/month
Get instant access to almost all plugins—there are just a few exceptions reserved for higher-paying tiers. You don’t need to stay subscribed—once you download a plugin, it’s yours to keep. However, if you want to grab an update later on, you’ll need to be an active Patron again (or choose one of the options below).

One-time payment – $30
Buy a single plugin via the shop on Patreon. This license includes all minor updates up to the next major release—e.g. buy v5.00 and you get v5.01–5.99 free. Upgrading to v6.00 requires a new purchase.

Note: This option only gives you access to the specific plugin you buy.

Lifetime Access via the Download Hub – $129
Pay for the Download Hub post on Patreon and unlock download access to all the setup files—that’s almost everything I’ve made and will make. Just like with the $6 tier, a few plugins might be exclusive to higher tiers, but otherwise you get full access to the entire library, including all future updates, for as long as I keep developing plugins and stay on Patreon.
