The mastering engineers biggest secret Noisebud, 2012, October 5 Here’s the best mastering trick there is: Ears, speakers and acoustics and speakers and ears and acoustics and speakers… Well, you need to know how to handle your audio gear (at least a compressor, EQ and limiter) but other than that it’s all about what you hear is what you get. We’re probably going to master our next record in studio 3 at EMS (the picture shows the custom built speakers by Ingvar Öhman in studio 3).
