WUT 1.0

WUT is a sound design sweetener plugin. It comes with three bands that use different experimental algorithms for each band to enhance or excite the audio. It will add weight, depth, and air to even the stiffest audio without ruining the original signal. 

A couple of weeks ago I went through all the crazy DSP experiments I kept over the years to see if I could find something worth developing further. I found three different experiments that I thought were worth a look. My initial idea was to use them for individual plugins but for one I didn’t find them exciting or useful enough on their own and two, I don’t know how I would communicate the usage of them if set apart. But instead of throwing them away, I decided to try to combine the three into one plugin with the aim set for a creative sound design tool. The fun thing is that it ended up being a plugin that I actually pulled out even while mastering. It “fixes” or sweetens the low and high-end in such an easy way and makes the mid-range live in a way that’s really useful in way more situations than pure sound design. It’s a great little quirky plugin, that I think you’re going to like a lot! 

• Weight band – will add a sense of depth and loads of low-end
• Mid Thing – Adds reverb without the tail to the area where we are the most sensitive
• Air – will add a cotton kind of high-end and tame/sweeten harsh-sounding audio
