ReaScript: Focus v2.00 – Now with Toggle and built-in Zoom Features Noisebud, 2026, April 20 Tired of navigating a cluttered Reaper session? Focus is a simple script that hides all tracks except the one you’ve selected, letting you work distraction-free. In version 2.00, Focus introduces several new features designed to make your workflow more efficient. New Features in Focus v2.00: 🔹 Z ITEM & Z SELECT Z ITEM zooms directly to the selected items in your session, helping you quickly focus on your work. Z SELECT zooms to the current time selection, giving you an instant overview of your project’s timeline. 🔹 SHORT FunctionThe new SHORT button allows you to program a shortcut key right from the script’s GUI that will stop the script. The idea is to assign the same key as your global shortcut for Focus so that pressing that key (while Focus’s GUI is active) toggles the script on and off. 🔹 Toggle FunctionalityWith these improvements, you can now launch and close Focus using the same key command. This toggle mechanism simplifies your workflow, allowing you to quickly activate or dismiss Focus as needed. Installation 1️⃣ Download the script and place it in your Reaper scripts folder.2️⃣ Find your script folder via Options > Show REAPER resource path…, then navigate to the Scripts folder.3️⃣ Open Actions > Show Action List.4️⃣ Click New Action > Load ReaScript… and select the script.5️⃣ Assign a key shortcut for quick access (and consider using the same shortcut for the SHORT function). Important: When launching the script a second time, you may see Reaper’s dialog box prompting you to “Terminate,” “Allow another instance,” or “Cancel.”If the dialog appears, choose ✅ “Allow another instance” and check ✅ “Remember my answer for this script.”This ensures that Reaper will automatically close the already running instance, allowing you to toggle the script on and off with a single shortcut key. Get Access Focus is available exclusively to Patreon members ($5/month) or via a one-time payment ($30) for the Reaper Script Hub post, which includes all my Reaper scripts. 🔗 Download for Patrons (The Reaper Script Hub) Blog
