MIDIVU 64bit Beta 01 Noisebud, 2026, April 20 This week’s plugin is a bit special, it’s a 64-bit beta version of MIDIVU, a plugin that I made about 12-13 years ago. MIDIVU is a plugin that you put on an audio channel in your DAW and it sends out VU-meter data as MIDI. I made it to get some visual feedback from Ableton when playing live with the project Memo Cassette, a contemporary art and electronic music project where all audio comes from a guitar, played by the avantgarde jazz guitarist Hans Nyman and then processed in real-time by me, Hampus Norén and Sol Andersson. Here’s a Spotify link to one of our albums, if you are interested in what you can do with a guitar and 4, slightly quirky, musicians: https://open.spotify.com/album/3LiS6gllOXR6chLRxKNHhL?si=h-g9mU3nTQeumGsQwXr9Ow I recently noticed a sudden jump in downloads of the old Windows 32-bit version. And even though nowadays it’s completely free, some choose to donate. I also have had a couple of 64-bit update requests for this plugin and that’s what this post is all about. The whopping 12-year-old video shows the 32-bit version. The 64-bit beta build looks and works differently since I had to start from scratch. And, I haven’t been able to fully test it since I currently don’t own a MIDI device suited for the task. I have sent the MIDI generated by the plugin to a new channel and can see that MIDI is coming through as expected, though. It should work… Let me know if it does! Available as 64-bit VST3 for Mac and Windows Share this: Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Print (Opens in new window) Print Related Blog

TunaVerb v1.11 – Now You can Reverberate Transients Only… Fun! 2026, April 20 I just updated TunaVerb with a bunch of new features, and while it was already fun to use, it’s now even more fun and a bit more flexible. Originally, TunaVerb was built to hide things in the background—adding depth and width without drowning the mix in reverb. That’s still true,… Share this: Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More
